Our Programs
This event is annually to cleanup Lake Greenwood and the surrounding areas. Over the last two years, over 15,000 pounds of trash have been collected. The lake is Greenwood’s number one asset and is important to the economic vitality of our community. Since 2009, KGCB has removed over 53,000 pounds of trash from the shorelines of Lake Greenwood. Each year, over 200 volunteers give their time. Youth, under the age of 18 must be accompanied by an adult
Shred-day is planned twice a year, once in the Spring and once in the Fall to give individuals a place to safely and securely dispose of personal paper waste and electronic waste, maintaining confidentiality and keeping environmental impact to a minimum.
Shred personal documents, such as old bills or other dated personal and confidential paper documents.
E-waste includes items such as: computers and accessories, televisions, DVD players, VCRs, fax machines, copiers, personal and console gaming systems, telephones, microwaves, stereo equipment, etc.
